From Mary Marsh of Marsh Hollow:
I'd like to let fellow members know about an easy, and free, way to financially support the Pet Orphanage: GoodShop and GoodSearch. I have personally used both and am impressed with GoodShop especially. I made purchases from Gaiam, a rather large order for our cabin, and Amazon, and saw the financial results within a week posted to our earnings. I'd like to encourage all Tourism Association members to shop via GoodShop. Of course, I'd prefer they designate The Pet Orphanage as their "cause" but there are others to choose from. Here's some wording from the GoodSearch/Shop people:

"What if The Pet Orphanage(LoganOH) earned a donation every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our cause? Well, now it can!

GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 30 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you'll be supporting your favorite cause.

GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!

And if you download the GoodSearch - Pet Orphanage(LoganOH) toolbar, our cause will earn money every time you shop and search online - even if you forget to go to GoodShop or GoodSearch first! Add The Pet Orphanage(LoganOH) toolbar at http://www.goodsearch.com/toolbar/pet-orphanage"

If you are interested in becoming Hocking Hills Green Certified but were unable to attend a workshop call Karen at 740-385-2750. You can set up a meeting to get all the info on becoming Hocking Hills Green Certified.

Starting the week of May 10th, The Inn at Hocking College will be running early bird specials on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5:00pm-6:00pm.

Please advise visitors about the Hocking Hills State Parks' new "Carry In, Carry Out" policy - all waste and recyclables carried into the Parks must be carried out. Help keep the Hocking Hills clean and green.
