31st - Halloween Hike to Rock House - 10am; Join the naturalist at the
Rock House shelter to explore the legends, myths and stories that give
this area of the park its "spooky" fall appeal. Along the way
we will take a closer look at the creepy, crawly, slimy and smelly

by Bram Stoker (1927). Lucy Seward, whose father is the doctor in charge
of an English sanitorium, has been attacked by some mysterious illness.
Dr. Van Helsing, a specialist, believes that the girl is the victim of a
vampire, a sort of ghost that goes about at night sucking blood from its
victims. The vampire is at last found to be a certain Count Dracula,
whose ghost is at last laid to rest in a striking and novel manner. The
play is intended for all who love thrills in the theater, and is
appropriate for all groups. $8; Dracula was first presented on Broadway
by Horace Liveright at the Fulton Theatre in New York City on October 5,
1927. Performance will be presented at the Stagecoach Inn, 225 East Main

Purvis offers a tantalizing case to Nick Noir, private eye. Coco, and her
sister, Bonbon, run Precious Perks Coffee Shoppe, known for its signature
drink, Death by Chocolate. Unfortunately, Vinnie the Leech died while
drinking it last month, and this has impacted business. After a second
death under similar circumstances, Nick's former secretary, Selma, plays
a psychic who, with the help of her ever-present Blackberry, helps Nick
solve the crime and earn enough to afford an office - and rehire Selma. Tickets:

Wagon Ride - 7pm; Join John Hutchison on an evening horse-drawn wagon
ride from Hope School (across from Lake Hope Dam) through Zaleski State

DAILY - SALT AND PEPPER SHAKER MUSEUM
AT FIDDLESTIX; View several hundred vintage figural salt and pepper
shaker sets at Fiddlestix Village; 24180 St. Rt. 93 just south of the St.
Rt. 56/93 intersection. A changing display of shaker sets are arranged by
categories on shelves in three large windows. Groups include, various
animals, people, holidays birds, fish, tools, buildings, vacation
souvenirs and many more. Most of the sets are from the 1940s to the
present. A smaller window hosts a monthly special exhibit. The best
viewing time is between 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Viewers are invited at their own
risk, and the exhibit is open unless there is snow or ice on the parking

Sharpener Museum - Mon to Sat, 9am to 5pm; Sun 11am to 5pm; Rev. Paul
Johnson began his collection over 20 years ago. His Pencil Sharpener
Museum, previously located at his home, has been moved to the Welcome
Center and is open daily. This amazing collection of over 3400 pencil
sharpeners has been featured in national magazines and is reputed to be

Washboard Company Museum and Gift Shop - There is so much history from
our company and building's past that we wish to share it with everyone.
The tour will not only provide historical information, but will also
include the opportunity to observe the manufacturing of washboards, and
participate in making music with the washboard. The factory will operate
daily, as usual, with our washboards being produced one at a time by
hand. We are the only manufacturer of washboards remaining in the United
States. Our gift shop features our washboards, memorabilia and new line
of vintage soaps. The Museum is a WiFi hotspot and offers snacks and
beverages, for a place to relax and take care of business. Tours will be
offered Monday through Friday at 10:00am, noon, and 2:00pm; Saturdays by
