Each evening is hosted by Carrie Rodriguez who explains the evening and how it will flow. The order of artist appearances on stage changes every night at the whim of the artists and the promoters. The tour will not only provide historical information, but will also include the opportunity to observe the manufacturing of washboards, and participate in making music with the washboard. The factory will operate daily, as usual, with our washboards being produced one at a time by hand. We are the only manufacturer of washboards remaining in the United States. Our gift shop features our washboards, memorabilia and new line of vintage soaps. The Museum is a WiFi hotspot and offers snacks and beverages, for a place to relax and take care of business. Tours will be offered Monday through Friday at 10:00am, noon, and 2:00pm; Saturdays by appointment. Special arrangements will be made for large groups. DAILY (Mon - Sat) The Columbus Washboard Company Museum and Gift Shop - There is so much history from our company and building's past that we wish to share it with everyone. The tour will not only provide historical information, but will also include the opportunity to observe the manufacturing of washboards, and participate in making music with the washboard. The factory will operate daily, as usual, with our washboards being produced one at a time by hand. We are the only manufacturer of washboards remaining in the United States. Our gift shop features our washboards, memorabilia and new line of vintage soaps. The Museum is a WiFi hotspot and offers snacks and beverages, for a place to relax and take care of business. FRIDAY - Veteran's Day Ceremony - 11am; Master of Ceremony will be Ron Janey. Guest speaker will be Bo Janey, who recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. This Veteran's Day will be the first official outing for Veteran Phil Lightfoot's veterans float. Lightfoot has been gathering names and photos this year to honor those Hocking Countians who are MIA or KIA from the conflicts in Korea, Vietnam and Iraq. There are 14 such men. The float will be parked along Market Street across from Worthington Park to allow the public to view the photos and names up close. Worthington Park, corner of Main and Market Streets.

SATURDAY - Frontier Trail Hike - noon to 4pm; A short hike through Ash Cave at Hocking Hills State Park will take you back in time more than 500 years! On Saturday November 5, 2011 between he hours of 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m. Ash Cave will come alive with the sights and sounds of the history of the entire Hocking region. As park visitors are guided down the fully handicapped accessible trail they will meet costumed characters dressed in period clothing and actually have the chance to interact with history. They will find out what the CCC had to do to carve the trails through Hocking Hills, they can actually ask Richard Roe (the Old Man of Old Man's Cave) why he stayed in the Hocking Hills or listen as the Shawnee & Wyandot tell what they thought of this magical place. FRIDAY - Final Fridays - Halloween on the Square - 6pm to 10pm; The Nelsonville Historic Arts District and Final Fridays on the Square are putting out a CALL FOR ZOMBIES to descend on Nelsonville's Public Square on Friday, October 28th at 6:00pm. We are looking for all kinds of undead: adults, kids, babies, pets, grandparents, and anyone else who is hungry for brains. The monthly Final Fridays on the Square will be overrun by the undead in celebration of Halloween weekend! Zombies can begin arriving any time after 6:00pm and should meet up by the fountain in the center of the square with a special Nelsonville Zombiewalk taking place at 7:30pm and leaving from the fountain. We are hoping to make this zombie takeover of Nelsonville an annual occurrence, so please help us spread the word! DAILY (Mon - Sat) The Columbus Washboard Company Museum and Gift Shop - Monday through Friday at 10:00am, noon, and 2:00pm; Saturdays at 11:30 am and 1 pm, and Sundays and holidays by appointment. There is so much history from our company and building's past that we wish to share it with everyone. The tour will not only provide historical information, but will also include the opportunity to observe the manufacturing of washboards, and participate in making music with the washboard. The factory will operate daily, as usual, with our washboards being produced one at a time by hand. We are the only manufacturer of washboards remaining in the United States. Our gift shop features our washboards, memorabilia and new line of vintage soaps. The Museum is a WiFi hotspot and offers snacks and beverages, for a place to relax and take care of business. DAILY - Paul A. Johnson Pencil Sharpener Museum - Mon to Sat, 9am to 5pm; Sun 11am to 5pm; Rev. Paul Johnson began his collection over 20 years ago. His Pencil Sharpener Museum, previously located at his home, has been moved to the Welcome Center and is open daily. This amazing collection of over 3400 pencil sharpeners has been featured in national magazines and is reputed to be the largest collection in the United States. DAILY (Mon - Sat) The Columbus Washboard Company Museum and Gift Shop - Monday through Friday at 10:00am, noon, and 2:00pm; Saturdays at 11:30 am and 1 pm, and Sundays and holidays by appointment. There is so much history from our company and building's past that we wish to share it with everyone. The tour will not only provide historical information, but will also include the opportunity to observe the manufacturing of washboards, and participate in making music with the washboard. The factory will operate daily, as usual, with our washboards being produced one at a time by hand. We are the only manufacturer of washboards remaining in the United States. Our gift shop features our washboards, memorabilia and new line of vintage soaps. The Museum is a WiFi hotspot and offers snacks and beverages, for a place to relax and take care of business. Tours will be offered Monday through Friday at 10:00am, noon, and 2:00pm; Saturdays at noon, and Sundays and holidays by appointment. Special arrangements will be made for large groups. Museum hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm; Saturdays 11:00am to 2:00pm. $4 for tour which includes souvenir magnet.
