Hocking County Historical Society. Mr. Harle will be presenting the
history of the US Zeppelin Shenandoah. The US Zeppelin
Shenandoah was the first of four United States Navy airships. On
September 3, 1925, the US Shenandoah crashed in Noble County near
Ava, Ohio. 14 men lost their lives in this tragic accident. On
display will be historic photos, newspapers and actual pieces of the

All Caboose Train
Hocking Valley Scenic

For the All Caboose Train, we will pull all of the
cabooses that are privately-owned as each owner allows and operate
our annual all-caboose. Usually we have about five cabooses in the
train. Departing the Nelsonville Depot at 11 a.m., the train operates
to East Logan and returns with photo run-by's where everyone has the
opportunity to de-train and photograph the train passing by before
re-boarding along the way. The train also includes a 30-minute stop
at Robbins Crossing, a recreated 1850s-era Ohio pioneer village
located on the campus of Hocking College. Seating is incredibly
limited each caboose holds no more than ten people -- some are fewer
than that, so be sure to reserve your seat as soon as possible. A
great trip for any rail fan. Duration of ride approximately three
