FRIDAY, July 8th to SUNDAY, July 10th - LILYFEST - Friday 11am to 7pm; Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday 10am to 4pm; If you love art, gardens and music, come enjoy the lovely woodland setting at scenic Bishop Educational Gardens, 13200 Little Cola Rd., Rockbridge. Throughout the beautiful gardens, there will be more than 70 fine area artists and craftspersons displaying, demonstrating and marketing their products. Annuals, perennials, and water plants will be for sale, OSU Master Gardeners will answer questions on plant growing and maintenance, and there will be musical entertainment thanks to a Logan-Holl Foundation grant. Parking at two fields, car pool if possible. Admission to Lilyfest is free; donations for parking accepted. Please do not bring pets. Bishop Educational Gardens, 13200 Little Cola, Rockbridge. DAILY (Mon - Sat) The Columbus Washboard Company Museum and Gift Shop - Monday through Friday at 10:00am, noon, and 2:00pm; Saturdays at noon, and Sundays and holidays by appointment. There is so much history from our company and building's past that we wish to share it with everyone. The tour will not only provide historical information, but will also include the opportunity to observe the manufacturing of washboards, and participate in making music with the washboard. The factory will operate daily, as usual, with our washboards being produced one at a time by hand. We are the only manufacturer of washboards remaining in the United States. Our gift shop features our washboards, memorabilia and new line of vintage soaps. The Museum is a WiFi hotspot and offers snacks and beverages, for a place to relax and take care of business. The 3rd Annual Ohio Wildlife Legacy Stamp photo contest is underway, challenging resident photographers to enter their best snapshots of a native salamander. The winning photograph will be featured on the third Ohio Wildlife Legacy Stamp to be issued March 1, 2012.
